Our Beliefs
The Bible . . . is the Word of God and the source of all Christian teachings.
God … is triune, one God in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Humanity … was made by God along with all creation. Originally created whole and perfect, now because of sin we live with a broken relationship with God and fractured relationships with each other.
Repentance … is acknowledgment of and sincere regret for sin, a willingness to make amends, and a trust in God for forgiveness through Jesus.
Jesus Christ … is our Savior. He came and died on the cross to redeem the world from sin. This Jesus is both God and man in one person. This Good News is the heart and center of our lives and of our teaching.
Faith … is simple trust in God for forgiveness of sins in Christ.
Sacraments . . . Lutherans teach that God's grace and good will is offered to sinners not only in the Word of God, but also through Baptism and theLords Supper. Baptism is a divine washing of new life, intended for young and old alike. God works and gives in and through Baptism. The Lord's Supper, also called Holy Communion or Eucharist, is the true body and blood of Christ offered to us to give us forgiveness of sins.
